Hi.
I'm Ross.
I'm a runner. <3

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." GRACE (Laura Story)

My heart is so proud. My mind is so unfocused.
I see the things You do through me as great things I have done. And now You gently break me, then lovingly You take me and hold me as my father and mold me as my maker.

Chorus:
I ask you: “How many times will you pick me up, when I keep on letting you down?
And each time I will fall short of Your glory, how far will forgiveness abound?”
And you answer: ” My child, I love you.
And as long as you’re seeking My face, You’ll walk in the pow’r of My daily sufficient grace.”

At times I may grow weak and feel a bit discouraged, knowing that someone, somewhere could do a better job. For who am I to serve You?I know I don’t deserve You. And that’s the part that burns in my heart and keeps me hanging on.

Chorus*
I ask you: “How many times will you pick me up, when I keep on letting you down?
And each time I will fall short of Your glory, how far will forgiveness abound?”
And you answer: ” My child, I love you.
And as long as you’re seeking My face, You’ll walk in the pow’r of My daily sufficient grace.”
You are so patient with me, Lord.

As I walk with You, I’m learning what Your grace really means. The price that I could never pay was paid at Calvary. So, instead of trying to repay You, I’m learning to simply obey You
by giving up my life to you For all that You’ve given to me.

Chorus:
I ask you: “How many times will you pick me up, when I keep on letting you down?
And each time I will fall short of Your glory, how far will forgiveness abounds?”
And you answer: ” My child, I love you.
And as long as you’re seeking My face, You’ll walk in the pow’r of My daily sufficient grace.”

Isaiah 51

 1 “Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness
   and who seek the LORD:
Look to the rock from which you were cut
   and to the quarry from which you were hewn;
2 look to Abraham, your father,
   and to Sarah, who gave you birth.
When I called him he was but one,
   and I blessed him and made him many.

3 The LORD will surely comfort Zion
   and will look with compassion on all her ruins;
he will make her deserts like Eden,
   her wastelands like the garden of the LORD.
Joy and gladness will be found in her,
   thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

 4 “Listen to me, my people;
   hear me, my nation:
The law will go out from me;
   my justice will become a light to the nations.
5 My righteousness draws near speedily,
   my salvation is on the way,
   and my arm will bring justice to the nations.

The islands will look to me
   and wait in hope for my arm.
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens
   look at the earth beneath;
the heavens will vanish like smoke,
   the earth will wear out like a garment
   and its inhabitants die like flies.
But my salvation will last forever,
   my righteousness will never fail.

 7 “Hear me, you who know what is right,
   you people who have my law in your hearts:
Do not fear the reproach of men
   or be terrified by their insults.
8 For the moth will eat them up like a garment;
   the worm will devour them like wool.
But my righteousness will last forever,
   my salvation through all generations.”

 9 Awake, awake! Clothe yourself with strength,
   O arm of the LORD;
awake, as in days gone by,
   as in generations of old.
Was it not you who cut Rahab to pieces,
   who pierced that monster through?
10 Was it not you who dried up the sea,
   the waters of the great deep,
who made a road in the depths of the sea
   so that the redeemed might cross over?
11 The ransomed of the LORD will return.
   They will enter Zion with singing;
   everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
   and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

 12 “I am the one who strengthens you.
   Why should you fear mortals,
   the sons of men, who are but grass,
13 that you forget the LORD your Maker,
   who stretched out the heavens
   and laid the foundations of the earth,
why should you live in constant fear
   because of the wrath of the oppressor,
   who is bent on destruction?
For where is the wrath of the oppressor?
 14 The cowering prisoners will soon be set free;
they will not die in their dungeon,
   nor will they lack bread.
15 For I am the LORD your God,
   who churns up the sea so that its waves roar—
   the LORD Almighty is his name.
16 I have put my words in your mouth
   and covered you with the shadow of my hand—

I who set the heavens in place,
   who laid the foundations of the earth,
   and who say to Zion, ‘You are my people.’”

"Teach me Your way, LORD, that I may rely on YOUR faithfulness; give me an UNDIVIDED heart, that I may fear Your Name. I will praise You, Lord my God, with ALL my heart; I will glorify Your name FOREVER. For great is Your love toward me; You have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead."

Unka Glen's Citadel of Enlightenment: Old Testament dating is really not a good idea...

unkaglen:

Anonymous asked: What do you think about dating a non-Christian who is willing to be a Christian? Personally I’d rather wait till I’m done with my senior year and wait for a Godly woman that could keep me in check. At the same, in the old testament followers of God took foreign women,…
